Impact the Bottom Line - Leading Practices for Reducing Occupancy Costs

S. Rose, in conjunction with Haworth and KPMG, recently hosted a seminar called, “Impact the Bottom Line - Leading Practices for Reducing Occupancy Costs." This seminar assisted clients in evaluating tax benefit opportunities derived from accelerated depreciation and the coordination of facility design. KPMG, our speaker, works with the client's project and construction teams to identify construction and coordination opportunities which may lead to greater tax benefits. The earlier this methodology can be integrated into the design process for non-residential, real property, the greater the potential tax advantage for the client.

Chicago - NeoCon

The S.Rose executive, sales and marketing teams have just returned from NeoCon, taking place July 10-14.

NeoCon (The National Exposition of Contract Furnishings) debuted in 1969 with 750 exhibitors filling 222,000 square feet of space. NeoCon is now considered the largest trade show of its kind in North America, complete with 1,200 showrooms and exhibits of residential and commercial furnishings in more than 1.2 million square feet of exhibit space.

Haworth, our major manufacturer, themed their showroom "Great Spaces." The 23,000 sq. ft. showroom was a symbol of the beautiful refinement of product, technology and engineering. The innovative new space was also the recipient of the IIDA 2006 NeoCon Large Showroom Award.

S. Rose and Haworth are proud to serve as a resource for architects and designers, providing the research, tools, products and services professionals need to bring their unique visions to life.

Continuing Education Series Wrap Up

Here at S.Rose we have wrapped up our three-part Continuing Education series. Our first seminar, "Walking on Air" took place in October 2005. Our second presentation "Modular Interiors and the Environment" in mid-January was even more successful than the first. All three sessions filled quickly, necessitating an additional session the following day. This event presented S.Rose with new business opportunities as well as a great way to showcase our newly renovated showroom. Our final seminar in the series, "Not Just Bricks and Mortar" was held March 25. This seminar wrapped up the series and presented a complete picture on sustainable business practices.

This event presented S.Rose with new business opportunities as well as a great way to showcase our newly renovated showroom.

Our final seminar in the series, "Not Just Bricks and Mortar", will be held in March. This seminar is designed to "wrap up" the previous 2 seminars and present a complete picture on sustainable business practices.
